Warm Days and Cool Nights

SUNNY DAYS, COOL NIGHTS...If you're into nice sunny warm days, and cool, tranquil, starlit nights, then you're weird. And have I got a forecast for you! The weatherman will be bored a few days as high pressure comes down from Canada and will sit squarely on top of western NC for a few days. Picture the jetstream diving into the West, then up over the Plains, then back down the eastern seaboard. This is a recipe for a due northerly flow, which is quite cold over the Northeast, and we'll even have several near-record cool mornings over the weekend into early next week, perfect camping weather. For us, it's wall to wall sunny days and starry nights, while lightning rips through the skies in the Plains and Rockies. I don't see that storm system heading our way too soon, so we're probably stuck with sunshine for a long time.

THE FORECAST...For our readers in Caroleen, Kingstown, and Dirty Ankle

Friday Through Sunday...Chance of showers early Saturday, otherwise mostly sunny with light northerly winds. Highs mid to upper 70's, Lows upper 40's to lower 50's.
