Cold Rain On The Way...ICE north of Shelby

RAINY FRIDAY...A cold, rainy day is in store Friday, and the weekend looks a little unsettled too. A cold front pushed through Wednesday and there will be several disturbances riding along it to our south Friday, and possibly into the weekend. It may be cold enough to start as a little sleet or freezing rain Thursday night, but for Shelby we should head above 32 degrees by early Friday, meaning mostly a cold rain. An icestorm could be in store for the northern mountains. After the initial batch of rain moves through Friday, another disturbance over the weekend could keep us mostly cloudy, but its too early to say if this one produces rain, or just clouds. By Monday, we will clear out and warm up a little, but don't hold your breath because by midweek we get another juicy storm system. It would be nice to keep getting this kind of rain every few days over the next few months, wouldn't it? The pattern looks to continue, with rain every few days, with temperatures alternating between cool and mild.

THE FORECAST...

Friday and Friday Night...Rainy. Cold with temps in the mid 30's.
Saturday and Sunday...Partly to mostly cloudy with the chance of showers. Highs mid 40's, Lows upper 30's.
