As I predicted all along, the best place to see much snow will be east and south of Interstate 85. It looks like Shelby won't see any accumulation, other than on bushes and cartops. The moisture is rapidly pulling out, while the colder air is pouring in.
However, roads will still be a mess tonight because of all the dampness freezing into patches of ice.
Sunday will clear out and be cold with highs in the 30's.
Sunday night will be very cold with lows in the teens.
We moderate a little Monday, and through next week, but overall next week looks unsettled with periods of drizzle/light rain and chilly temps. I'll be watching a system for late week for wintry possibilities but right now its a long shot for anything meaningful in terms of snow.
