HALF N HALF....It's not just for coffee anymore. The weekend looks great to start, but I have to throw in rain chances Sunday. We still need all the moisture we can get, as both Rutherford and Cleveland Counties remain in the extreme drought category, the worst it can get, literally. The last "storm" dropped only a tenth to a quarter inch over the area, which means we received less than ONE INCH of rain in November. Is it any wonder folks with wells are worried about there water supply? The next chance of rain will come from another front later Sunday, or into Monday, with a pretty major snowstorm taking shape toward the Windy City over into the Northeast. After this storm comes through, it looks like we really turn cold next week. Incidentally, next week marks the fifth anniversary of that major December snow-then-icestorm, back in 2002. I don't see another one of those just yet.
THE FORECAST...
Friday and Saturday...Partly sunny, seasonable. Highs mid 50's, Lows near 30.
Sunday...Increasing clouds with showers late. Highs mid 50s.
