Taste of Fall Gives Way to Late Summer...Again

NICE FALL WEATHER...Picture perfect Carolina Blue skies have prevailed this week, along with temperatures well down into the 50's at night. But a low pressure developing off the Southeast coast could slowly erode our sunny skies by the weekend, however I expect most of the rain to remain south. If this new low can get it's act together as it heads back over the Gulf, it may become tropical storm "Jerry" but that remains to be seen. Meanwhile, we'll be guarded by high pressure for the next few days as another front comes down from Canada. The West Coast will become much stormier as a dip in the Jetstream occurs there. The long range models show a wetter pattern emerging, but so far in this drought, that has never worked out. I'll have a definite forecast for our famous Cleveland County Fair early next week on the website http://www.shelbyweather.blogspot.com/ Check it out.

THE FORECAST...
Friday Through Sunday...Partly sunny and mild. Highs low 80's, lows lower 60's. Keep an eye on Friday's forecast...could be a few more clouds with some showers developing if the upper low over Florida edges slightly north.
