BRIEF BREAK...I have to admit the weekend forecast is shaky. There will be quite a strong cold front that pushes through the East and South by late Friday, which ensures a changing of the airmasses. You'll notice the difference by Saturday, with much lower humidity and temperatures. But I don't think this will last long, as by late Sunday a return flow will allow the front to back up out of the Gulf and spread the heat and moisture back our way. This is great news actually as we are still in need of all the rain we can get. The entire Southeast looks like it will turn somewhat wet next week, depending on how a few complex factors interact, such as the weak front in the area, as well as the possibility of an upper low forming just to our west, and the how strong the flow is from the Gulf. Usually, atleast once per Summer, we get a week or so with an upper low overhead, billowing white clouds, dripping humidity, and drenching daily downpours. We're still waiting on that setup, and next week "could" be the ticket, but it's too early to say. With these fronts dropping so far south, we don't have to worry about hurricanes penetrating the coast just yet. Have a good weekend!THE FORECAST...Friday and Friday Night...Partly cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms. Highs mid 80's. Lows mid 60s.Saturday and Saturday Night...Mostly sunny, lower humidity.
