After a short break from the heat and high humidity during the the freedom holiday, our heat and humidity will be coming back. For now though, there's not much action across our neck of the woods. High pressure is in control for most of the East and South, but this high will slide out into the "Bermuda High" position next week, which in turn will eventually be the impetus toward our usual muggy and hot routine. Meanwhile, the Southwest will start it's annual ritual of the great Monsoons, and the Northeast still can't catch a warm break (though I bet they're not complaining). When the Bermuda High sets up shop off the coast, we will start to turn our attention toward the Hurricane season, as this is about the time when the 'canes realistically begin to start developing. Most experts are forecasting a pretty wild ride in terms of the hurricanes over the next 3 or 4 months, and that includes the Carolinas.
THE FORECAST...
Friday Through Sunday...Partly sunny and turning muggy, hot. Highs low 90s, lows upper 60s.
