BRRRRR! The cold is coming. A near record cold airmass is plunging straight for us, and should arrive in the mountains early Saturday, then spread across the entire Southeast. The jetstream will align in a hardcore Winter type pattern beginning this weekend, and it appears it will stay cold in the East and warm out West for quite a while. Snow will fly across the mountains most of this weekend, giving a jumpstart to the ski season, meanwhile we all go into the deepfreeze for November standards, with gusty cold winds. But first, some much needed rains will spread over us Thursday into early Saturday, then the big chill comes. Get the heaters ready and let the dawgs in.
