Cooler, But Not Much Hope For Rain

Back To Normal...Our first heat wave (and hopefully last!) is now over. The southern foothills broke records 3 straight days with early June temps that broke 100 degrees, which tied or beat records that went back to the late 1800's, over 100 years! This type of heat, combined with no widespread rain, is really eating up the water in the ground. Take a look at the rivers and streams the next time you drive over a bridge and you'll see what happens when you go years with below normal rainfall like we're currently enduring. I wish I could offer some real hope with a rainy pattern in sight, but so far the best I can call for is isolated chances. Atleast we'll cool down closer to 90 instead of 100. In fact, a block is forming in Canada, which should send much cooler air toward us by early next week. Happy Father's Day Pop!

THE FORECAST...For our readers in Cherryville, Toluca and Washburn

Friday and Saturday..Partly sunny with isolated showers and storms. Highs upper 80's.

Father's Day...Partly sunny, cooler, slight chance of storms. Highs mid 80's.

Please take the time to pray for rain....2Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
