MARCH IN LIKE A LION...The fierce storms that rolled through here Tuesday are but a preview of an active Spring. I think we'll see more heavy duty severe action over the next few weeks as the Jetstream switches into Spring mode. But first, another rain event unfolds Friday. Don't despair, the storm will clear out of here by Saturday midday, leaving us sunny but windy. This storm is tricky for the East Coast, but I think it will be a snowmaker from Tennessee, and our mountains early Saturday, eventually turning into a powerful Nor'easter. It's about time to close the books on Shelby's snow chances this season. Unless something really weird happens, we'll write down about 2 inches of snow/sleet. The weather next week looks tranquil, so all the green thumbs can get to work in the yard. Someone has a birthday coming up on March 12, happy birthday Pop!
