Cold, Drizzly, Raw Weekend

DAMP WEEKEND...I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but don't be looking for a suntan this weekend. A cold front will drop to the Rutherford/Cleveland corridor and come to a halt. Then a nice arctic high will try to edge down the East Coast and set us up for our famous cold air damming. This means periods of drizzle, raw northeast winds, and clouds. Spring will take a hiatus for several days. Its doubtful significant rains will develop over us, but the chance is there, meanwhile snow and cold continues for the Great Lakes. Leah says hi to her brother Stevie in Michigan, who reads the online version of our Shelby Shopper, knee deep in the snow and record cold. Next week, our wedge of cold will gradually erode and give way to a more meaningful rainmaker by Tuesday or Wednesday. After this, we get a temporary break and then yet more showers and T'storms show up. Thank God for the rain! March has been very good to us.

THE FORECAST...

Friday...Increasing clouds with a slight chance of rain late. Highs mid 70s.
Friday Night Through Sunday....Cloudy and turning colder. Periods of light rain and drizzle and fog. Highs mid 50's early Saturday then dropping into the 40's for the remainder of the weekend and not budging til Monday.
