Rainy Start For The Fair

RAINY START TO THE CLEVELAND COUNTY FAIR...A quick developing gale will be pushing inland into the Carolina beaches Thursday morning and spread a swath of rain all the way west toward Shelby around the time the Fair starts, and reach Rutherfordton around midnight. By Friday, we're all getting a soaking, wind-driven rain, and the entire eastern seaboard will be under the influence of strong winds and rains. But be patient, because by later Saturday I think the steady rains shut off, and by Sunday the sunshine returns. Looking into the middle of next week, another interesting storm is showing up on the map, a possible cutoff low, which could throw more rain on us (and snow for the Midwest already!). The seasons are definitely changing fast now and after several years of very boring weather I think things have changed for a while...should make for a "fun" Winter!

THE FORECAST...For our readers in Shiloh, Hollis and Double Shoals Friday...Rainy. Highs upper 60's.Friday Night Through Saturday Night...Off and on showers. Lows upper 50's. Highs low 70sSunday...Clearing, then breezy. Highs upper 70s.
