Model Concensus Growing...Major Snowstorm Hits Shelby and all western NC

The models all came in colder aloft, safely putting Shelby toward the snow column. The snow and sleet dividing lines have all been pushed pretty far south now, toward northern Georgia and Upstate SC to just east of Charlotte, meaning the highway 74 corridor is in for an Historic Snowstorm...the likes of which not seen since January 7, 1988. Its tough to pin down the exact totals, but they're "up there", perhaps double digits.
I'll attempt a snow accumulation map Thursday evening. Get ready for a white winter wonderland Friday night and Saturday. Temps on Sunday morning could be near 5 or 10 degrees in Shelby.

BRRRRRR.
